The senate votes tomorrow on whether to bring a bill to the floor for debate, and the president urged republicans today to keep their Campaign Promises and his and, as he put it, do the right thing. In flames when firefighters arrived around 2 a. M. Kpix 5s jackie ward is live outside of whats left of the building and says investigators have a pretty good idea of how this happened. Jackie. Three people were sent to the hospital with minor injuries. The four people who lived here and six people next door are now without a place to live. This is what the oakland Cambodian Buddhist temple looked like yesterday. Right around 2 a. M. Investigators believe flames from 1,000 candles lit overnight created the flames that burned the place down. I saw the flames. They come down from the back. Reporter four monks and 7 women were in the building at the time of the fire but all escaped safely. A third alarm had to be called when flames jumped on the house next door.
