The Chicago Bears moving to the suburbs was once a foregone conclusion, but isn't anymore as a return to the lakefront is reportedly the team's new focus.
Sources tell the Sun-Times the team is considering building a new stadium on Clark and Roosevelt site. Mayor Brandon Johnson and Sox Chairman Jerry Reinsdorf would only say, “We met to discuss the historic partnership between the team and Chicago and the team’s ideas for remaining competitive in Chicago in perpetuity.”
Bears president Kevin Warren and his wife, Greta Warren, made the donation to the hospital’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders in honor of his late sister, who died in 2014 from brain cancer.
