‘American Idol’: Lionel Richie says Grace Kinstler’s performance of ‘Dangerous Woman’ by Ariana Grande was an ‘oh my God performance’

After finding out she made this season of “American Idol’s” top 12, Grace Kinstler immediate began singing with hopes of making it even further. But this time, her performance was live.
“You’re so calm,” host Ryan Seacrest said. “It’s like we’re not even on the air.”
Monday night’s show was the first live show of the season. Kinstler sang “Dangerous Woman” by Ariana Grande.
“It was an oh my God performance,” judge Lionel Richie said. “I love what you did.”

“American Idol” judge Katy Perry feels like contestant Colin Jamieson has grown since his days in a boy band in Massachusetts.
“I think you have grown so much right before our very eyes,” Perry said. “I really think you’ve found your voice.”
But it wasn’t enough to keep him in this season’s competition.
Jamieson was eliminated from the show Monday night after not receiving enough fan votes and not being one of the judges’ two saves.

Brennan ‘Beane’ Hepler has found the “key to this whole thing,” according to “American Idol” judge Lionel Richie.
Beane, a Berklee College of Music graduate, made the top 16 of this season of “American Idol” on Sunday. He then performed Thirdstory’s “Searching For A Feeling,” hoping to make it to the top 12.
The judges were amazed at his ability to show all sides of himself.
“It’s awesome to see all these shades of Beane,” judge Katy Perry said. “We just thought you were a friendly Mister Rogers.”

Fans did not vote the Berklee College of Music student into the top 16.
“And with that, my @americanidol journey has come to an end,” List wrote on Instagram. “Thank you to everyone who voted for me and believed in me. This experience has been truly life changing.”
