Many of our students have come from the bayview hirpts point area and have been working in a variety of life science careers one has a job at the man technical and has started a girls club. Beef about that very, very excited about the possibilities of adding certificates and stackable credential were with that in mind last year we were part of receiving a 2 million portion of a 15 million take grant it stand for Community Career training by the department of labor. At that time, i think 5 or 6 when youre getting off at work i know in the past theyve involved other communities at 7 or 8 00 p. M. Thats my first challenge. As we know its medicine after dedicate and you try to engage the community how much of a partnership can they be if theyve binded United States to this grant. Envy other concern we talk about the increase in homeless. Im kurts to know if theres been any further stoudz where the homeless are and how they get to and from i hypothesis sisters they come from other locations. Im curious to know how many are vets and how many have mental ienls and if we cant partner with other organizations to address those. The homeless shelter is great but i feel like were treating the symptoms not diagnosing the cause of whats causing those people to be homeless. We are, you know, you know were a community that is struggling. And adding more to that overall the stuff that the city has done to try to revitalize is really pushing it thanks for listening. Were building a shelter where we dont need it we dont see the homeless on the streets like in other neighborhood. Our neighborhoods dont building theres a 2 hundred and 50 percent homeless increase which is pruptd. It looks like were moving homeless out down into bayview. Its the further corner of the city in an area thats not good to house people. Its a warehouse surrounded by businesses using chemicals and tractors and its not safe. Unde

Within the requirements of safety regulations Raw Materials used for manufacturing and destruction maybe stored on site and may include chemical and explosive or Flammable Materials thats unquote. Now to remind everybody in 1996 a factory lifted a whole warehouse completely destroyed a complete block and completely destroyed the park which is four blocks away from mother browns. Several people were killed and more than 20 people were injured and the blast stroibd 1 hundred and 25 arts and studios. I used to be homeless for about a year and the only reason i was able to not become homeless was because of the program affordable housing. And i dont see that here. I think that there. Need for more homeless shelters its not in the bayview but it needs to be open for discussion as to whereabouts in the city and theres got to be more programs on the homeless for them.
