McLennan Community College President Johnette McKown looked to a neighboring college in finding an administrator to succeed Stephen Benson as vice president of finance.
Breaking with tradition, Children s Miracle Network Hospitals, a national nonprofit serving children s hospitals in 14 Central Texas counties, has named two champions to represent the network s efforts in 2024.
Contenders include Miller s former Republican opponent, D.L. Wilson; and Bellmead Council Member Travis Gibson, son of former Commissioner Lester Gibson.
Funeral services for McLennan County Commissioner Patricia Miller, 65, have been scheduled for 11 a.m. Feb. 10, at the Base, the county s multipurpose facility at the Extraco Events Center.
