A year after Globe Platinum kicked off its #ForFutureHeroes program, more than 2,000 schoolchildren struggling to keep up with remote learning amid the pandemic have been given a lifeline to keep them learning and growing. At this year’s Father’s Day weekend, Globe Platinum customers enjoyed an exclusive tasting session that featured Cognac Fine Champagne from the House of Rémy Martin and award-winning dark chocolates from Malagos. The Cognac & Chocolates Pairing Night raised over a hundred World Vision school kits to benefit the underprivileged children of Baseco Compound, Manila.

Last June 19, the event gathered guests who, from the safety of their homes, sampled the unique combined flavors of cognac and chocolates through their complimentary tasting kits, with the guidance of French spirits connoisseur and Rémy Martin brand advocate, Kevin Charuel. The participants’ tasting sets contained three Rémy Martin minis VSOP, CLUB and XO; three Malagos napolitains: 65%, 72% and 85% dark; and a snifter to use during the guided pairing session.
