Along with the upsurge of, you know, sort of not seeing anti black things going on as well. Reporter Oakland Police are looking at Surveillance Video from the area in hopes of finding the vandals. We do take hate crimes very seriously at the Oakland Police department and the city of oakland. We are a city that stands united against hate and hate crimes. We are investigating this particular crime as a hate crime. Reporter security guards and Oakland Police were stationed at the temple the whole day. Officers have stepped up patrols at other temples throughout the city. Temple members and visitors say they are repulsed by the hateful messages as they welcome in their new year. Its always sad to see, um, actions of hate, um, and hurtfulness and that theres always gonna be individuals who are acting in that fashion.
