David Kern, a BHS grad who is now a vice president with TripAdvisor in Needham, is calling on private companies to help do their part in helping vaccinate our fellow neighbors and our most vulnerable residents. I wanted to share this Boston Globe article and callout TripAdvisor for supporting our local community, Kern emailed the Patriot, citing a Feb. 3 article titled TripAdvisor opens up its headquarters in Needham to distribute vaccines. As a former Barnstable High School graduate – it is very important that we all do our part to help one another, especially our most vulnerable residents, Kern wrote. He added that he spontaneously thought of using TripAdvisor s now-vacant HQs as a vaccine site two weeks ago over family dinner.

So long 2020
The Osterville Village Library bids farewell to 2020 and welcomes the New Year with its “Winter Wishing Walk” located on the library green. No timetable; just stop by the outdoor decorative maze in search of the angel bell located at the center. Find the bell, and ring it loud and clear as you make your wish for 2021.
Take a walk in the night air to see the holiday lights in the village and make a wish for health and happiness! Pay your respects to former Town Council President Jim Crocker at Armstrong Kelley Park, which held a tree lighting ceremony in his memory on Dec. 11.
