Book on Journey of an evangelist released

Dimapur, Nov. 21 (EMN): A book titled ‘Journey of an evangelist- ministry of J Onen Ao’, written by Rev. O Alem, was formally released on November 20 by Chubatemjen, associate pastor, Ao Baptist Church Padumpukhuri. The book is the 64th publication of PenThrill, an update informed. In the author’s introduction, Rev. O Alem appealed the readers to look at the book through the lens of an evangelist. “For Nagas, it is important to realise that an evangelist is someone who is willing to sacrifice his life for Christ. If I have to say about this book in one sentence, then it would be, ‘Stories of how God worked aptly with His people’”, he noted. The book is based on the life story of late J Onenlepden Ao, father of the author, who took the gospel to the eastern Nagas tribes namely Sangtam, Chang, Yimkhiung, Phom and Khiamniungan. Celebrating 150 years of Christianity in Naga Hills Our CorrespondentMokokchung, Nov. 2 (EMN): The mission of the church is the mission itself and the greatness of a church is not based on setting capacity but on its sending capacity, said Rev. Watson Rajaratnam, Region Director, Serving in Mission, East Asia, on Wednesday. He was speaking on the second day of the Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang’s (ABAM)’s sesquicentennial celebration (150 years of Christianity in Naga Hills) at Impur, during the day’s morning worship session. ‘When we go forward with the mission, we are united, and with unity ABAM can send more missionaries, impacting Nagaland and the world,’ said the Reverend who spoke on the theme of the event “To God Be the Glory”.
