Pic:Andy Barr A STRATHCLYDE student has opened up about the vital impact an apprenticeship role has made on his careers, as thousands other celebrate Scottish Aprenticeship Week 2021. Samir Khan-Young opened up during the commemorative week, which takes place from March 1 to 5, saying that he took a role as a trainee technician at Thales in 2012 which launched him into the industry and landed him a place at university. The former Bannerman High student is currently studying at Strathclyde University in the Graduate Apprenticeship in Engineering Design and Manufacture scheme and is due to graduate in November this year.
