PORTLAND, Ore. Earth Day is today, but this entire week on KGW News at Sunrise, we’ve been talking about ways we can all be more environmentally friendly, from stepping up our recycling game to donating to nonprofits that focus on sustainability.

That something is the ocean, which has actually grabbed a lot of headlines lately, thanks to a controversial documentary that debuted on Netflix just a few weeks ago.

Breakside Is One of Several Breweries Moving Forward With New Openings in 2021 January saw a flurry of announcements about expansions, including Migration, Stickmen and Upright. (Hilary Sander) Nearly everyone feared for Oregon s craft brewing community last year. But as we head into 2021, a number of breweries are moving forward with expansions despite still facing COVID-19 serving restrictions. Breakside Brewery is among those with the most ambitious projects, as The New School first reported. The Dekum-born brand is branching out to the suburbs and opening venues in Beaverton and Lake Oswego. It will also serve as the core beer bar at a developing food hall on Southeast 82nd Avenue.
