New Britain Herald Note: Event times should be in 24 hour format, for example, 22:00 = 10 p.m. Ballet Theatre Company (BTC) will digitally present Up Close: Spring featuring a new work, titled Budding Affairs, choreographed by BTC s Artistic Director Stephanie Dattellas set to Antonio Vivaldi s Spring concerto from The Four Seasons. Dancing will feature BTC s professional Season Dancers as well as guest artists Derek Brockington and Alexandra Hutchinson from Dance Theatre of Harlem. The piece is a reflection on the importance of relationships after time spent in quarantine, which is drawn from Dattellas own personal experiences. Touching on friendships, solitude, and reliance on others, this abstract piece has been adapted for film to continue BTC s mission of bringing professional performance to the Greater Hartford community in its 22nd Season.
