The body in charge of redeveloping Old Oak Common in west London has launched a public consultation on its scaled-back plan.
The Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC) has launched a seven-week public consultation on the new plans, which have been given the green light by the Planning Inspectorate.
According to the OPDC, “much of the local plan hasn’t changed”, but it now omits land owned by Cargiant after the inspectorate ordered it to be removed following a challenge by the second-hand car retailer.
The new plans, which were resubmitted in March, will see the construction of more than 25,000 homes, as well as a new urban centre.

The High Court has ruled that HS2 did not incorrectly procure the £1.3bn Old Oak Common station contract.
Losing bidder Bechtel had challenged the megaproject’s award of the contract to a Balfour Beatty / Vinci / Systra (BBVS) joint venture on the basis that its bid was abnormally low.
Bechtel had scored higher in the technical assessment for the job, and one assessor had initially expressed “major concerns” over “overall resource level” on BBVS’s bid. But ultimately, BBVS achieved a higher score in the overall assessment process.
Judge Mr Justice Fraser today dismissed Bechtel’s claims against HS2 over the procurement.

HS2 and station main contractors will all be able to hand selected firm work
HS2 has started the search for a contractor to carry out station systems work at its four phase one stations.
The £47m contract is a single supplier framework deal that can be used by HS2 and the contractors of Euston and Old Oak Common stations in London, as well as the firms building Curzon Street and Interchange stations in the Midlands.
