Few takers for vaccine in mop-up round in Noida, Ghaziabad | Noida News

NOIDA/GHAZIABAD: In the first mop-up round conducted on Monday for frontline workers (FLWs), Noida and Ghaziabad managed coverage of only 28.9% and 39%, respectively. “Out of the 8,062 FLWs registered for the vaccination drive on Monday, only 2,405 turned up. They were administered the Covishield vaccine and no cases of AEFI were reported. There will be a second mop-up round for FLWs on February 25. I also urge the sanitation staff of Noida authority to get themselves vaccinated as their presence is dismal,” said Dr Neeraj Tyagi, district immunisation officer, in-charge of Covid vaccination in GB Nagar. He also said healthcare workers (HCWs), who were vaccinated on January 28, will be given the second dose on February 25.
