The Oaklawn Center on Aging Inc. has recommended seniors in the past not to answer unknown phone calls to avoid scams, but now it urges them to answer the phone if they are on a waiting list for COVID-19 vaccinations, as they may be volunteers calling to their appointment.
“I would like our community to know that it is important to answer a phone call during this time of vaccination clinics,” said Kathy Packard, executive director of the Oaklawn Center on Aging, in a press release in the city of Hot Springs.
