KOLKATA: Former West Bengal minister Rajib Banerjee, who recently quit the TMC, will Saturday fly with a few other disgruntled MLAs and leaders to New Delhi where they may join the BJP, sources in the saffron party said.
Banerjee and MLAs Prabir Ghosal and Baishali Dalmiya, who was recently expelled from the TMC, and former Howrah Mayor Rathin Chakraborty, will be flying to the national capital on a special plane, and meet central BJP leaders.
Former TMC MLA from Ranaghat Paschim in Nadia district Parthasarathi Chattopadhyay is also likely to accompany them.

New Delhi [India], January 30 (ANI): Former West Bengal Minister Rajib Banerjee, who had resigned from Trinamool Congress joined BJP along with two other MLAs in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
MLAs Baishali Dalmiya and Prabir Ghoshal, former Howrah Mayor Rathin Chakraborty and Bengali actor Rudraneel Ghosh also joined BJP at the residence of Union Home Minister.
BJP vice-president Mukul Roy and party general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya, who is in-charge of West Bengal, were also present.
Rajib Banerjee told the media there is a need to improve law and order situation in the state.

Kolkata: Ending months worth of speculation, five of the miffed former leaders of the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) Rajib Banerjee, Rathin Chakraborty, Baishali Dalmiya, Prabir Ghoshal, and Partha Sarathi Chatterjee along with Bengali actor Rudranil Ghosh, met Union Home Minister Amit Shah at his residence on Saturday and defected to the BJP in national capital Delhi.
The individuals were earlier slated to defect to the saffron camp during the Home Minister s rally in West Bengal.
After a 45-minute-long closed-door meeting with Shah, where the Union Home Minister detailed their new responsibilities for the party, the leaders defected to the BJP.
