The city of San Francisco is desperately trying to help tourism rebound to prepandemic levels and change the perception of the city. Theyre hoping this new ad will help. The ad is part of a 6 Million International tv Campaign Running in major cities across the globe, all in an effort to boost tourism numbers ahead of the busy Summer Travel months. The ad is bringing attention to some of San Franciscos most iconic spots, including lombard street, cable cars and the Golden Gate Bridge that tourists , young and old, want to visit. Queer and trans nuns has become a San Francisco institution, spreading joy while capturing the publics interest. Coincidentally march 31st is also transgender day of visibility. Three sisters came from around the world to celebrate in their founding city. We all come together in the spirit of togetherness and joy to spread that joy and give it to other people, and that just recharges the battery for me. The event offered activities for people of all ages, including an Easter Egg Hunt and games for children. There was also an Easter Bonnet competition and later in the day, hunky jesus and foxy mary contests. About 100 people hiked up to the highest point in San Francisco at sunrise today. It was all part of a 100 year old easter tradition. A crowd of worshipers gathered at the Mount Davidson cross. It stands about 100ft tall. This Easter Service is intended to renew hope regardless of your background or what you believe in, this beautiful moment of unity and simplicity as we all gather

Im julie julie haener. And im mike mibach, ktvu is Alice Roberts was at the scene right after that crash. He joins us live tonight from the city with the latest on the collision as well as the officer alice. Julie and mike. Were here at San Franciscos zuckerberg General Hospital. This is where the injured officer and another driver involved in the accident were taken. Theyve been reported to have nonlife threatening injuries. It was 3 09 p. M. Here at third and harrison street in San Francisco. A chp officer on a motorcycle was thrown after colliding with a cadillac sedan. Its unclear how the crash occurred. Good evening. Im julie julie haener. And im mike mibach. We begin tonight with a nightmare in nevada. One person is dead at the burning man festival and tens of thousands of others are stranded in the desert after severe rains flooded the festival grounds. Ktvu s Bailey Ocarroll joins us now. Shes in the newsroom. Bailey, you heard from two of the attendees. What did they tell you about the conditions out there . Thats right. Julie i spoke to john gaines. Hes a burning man, seasoned pro at this point. It marked his 21st year at the festival this year. We also heard from eileen lelchuk snyder. This was her first year out there. Both said the same thing. The situation, of course, unprecedented, but they did say that everyones rallying together to help each other out. An unusual late summer storm turned what was supposed to be a week away at burning man into this. This is eileen lelchuk snyder, first time at burning man, and now shes stuck in the nevada desert.
