Ohio State starting goal keeper Bailey Kolinski was forced to leave the game in the 3 rd minute after getting kicked in the face on a sliding save attempt. Sophomore Maciah Lipsey stepped in after playing only the final 7:22 of the Stony Brook win last Wednesday this season. Kolinski returned in the 16 th minute and played the remainder of the game. Santa Clara scored the first goal of the game in the sixth minute for the early lead. The Broncos added another in the 25 th minute to take a 2-0 lead after the first 45 minutes. Kolinski finished the first half with six saves. Santa Clara outshot the Buckeyes 9-5 in the half with an 8-3 edge in shots on goal.
