The plea states that there is a “clear and present apprehension” that since the notices are unsigned and undated and have not been sent to the board but to the “Waqf properties”, the “design is to demolish the mosques/waqf properties somehow”.
The Board, in its plea filed by advocate Wajeeh Shafiq, has said the Bengali Market Mosque is approximately 250 years old and the Tilak Marg Mosque is 400 years old.
