It’s that time of year again: classes just started, and we’ve been anticipating a new round of student ID photos from North Farmington High School seniors.

14 months in quarantine is a long time to stew over the concerts you wish you d gone to, and a big one for me is DÄM-FunK s stop in Toronto a few years back. Yeah, it was probably freezing cold outside, but the memory of seeing his wonderful funk purism performed live would surely still be keeping me warm. Funk s got a new EP out today, so I ll have to just close my eyes while I listen and imagine the show on my own.

CLEVELAND, Ohio Big box sets from John Lennon and the Who set the pace for this week’s batch of new music releases, while Dirty Honey, Peter Frampton, Eric Church and Twiztid offer up fresh recordings.
Album of the Week: Some blasts from the past are louder than others, at the cash register and otherwise, and two packages in particular are worth making some noise about. The Who, “The Who Sell Out” (Geffen/UMe) bolsters the group’s ambitious 1967 concept album with 112 tracks, 46 previously unreleased, and other memorabilia for an immersive deep dive.
