The Ely Fire Department said no one was injured after a garage was fully engulfed in flames on West Chapman Street.
It happened around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The volunteer fire department said the fire was put out and the garage was taken down for safety reasons.
According to the Northland Fire Wire, a car inside the garage was also destroyed. The Fire Wire said a mechanical problem with the car ignited the flames.
The Babbitt Fire Department also responded.
