COVID Vaccine Drive Phase 1 in AP Will Cover 3.87 Lakh Frontline Health Workers Jan 17, 2021, 08:30 IST
Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Saturday launched the coronavirus vaccination drive at Government General Hospital (GGH) in Vijayawada near here and reviewed the vaccination process and technical aspects.
The Chief Minister unveiled a poster on Covid 19 vaccine designed by the Medical and Health Department.
In the first phase, all the frontline workers of about 3.87 lakh would be vaccinated in the identified 332 locations across the State. In Andhra Pradesh, the first vaccine was given to GGH sanitation staff B Pushpa Kumari by nurse Ch Nagajyoti in the presence of the Chief Minister.

In the presence of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the first shot of vaccine was administered to a sanitation worker B. Pushpa Kumari at the Government General Hospital, Vijayawada.

Amaravati, Jan 16 : Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy kickstarted the statewide Coronavirus vaccination programme on Saturday from Vijayawada.
He started it at the government general hospital (GGH) in Vijayawada, where he personally observed a frontline worker receiving the vaccine. Across the state, 3.87 lakh people have been scheduled to receive the vaccine shot at 332 centres, said an official statement.
The state government has shipped the vaccine shots to all the districts from the central storage warehouse at Gannavaram near Vijayawada.

Amaravati, Jan 16 : A health department sweeper received the first shot of the coronavirus vaccine in Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh on Saturday. Health department sweeper B. Pushpa Kumari took the first shot of coronavirus vaccine in the state, said an official statement.
Kumari was administered the vaccine shot at Government General Hospital in Vijayawada.
The Andhra Pradesh government has identified 332 locations in the state to launch the coronavirus vaccination programme, as part of Saturday s nationwide mega rollout of the vaccine.
