The Eastern Regional Police Command has called on the management of hostels and guest houses to strengthen security and demand National Identification cards from clients who patronize their facilities.
This, according to the Acting Public Relations Officer of the Eastern Regional Police Command, Sergeant Francis Gomado, will help provide accurate information about their guest to help check crime.
The call follows the killing of a young woman at Gameli Guest House in Somanya in the Yilo Krobo Municipality of the Eastern Region.
The Director of the Guest House David Teye Annor reported at the Somanya Police station on April 6 that on Monday, April 5 at about 3:00 pm, a young man who gave his name as Charles Tetteh to the receptionist together with a lady now deceased identified as Believe Sakitey checked into the Guesthouse and were expected to check out the following day at 12:00 pm.

Rotary Clubs donate polytank, waste bins to Labone Senior High Sch.

The Rotary and Rotaract Clubs of Accra Labone have donated a 500-litre Poly tank and waste bins to the Labone Senior High School in Accra.
The items valued at GH3,000 forms part of the 20th anniversary celebration of the Rotary Club of Accra-Labone.
The day’s event began with a cycling event dubbed “Tour de Labone” an annual activity of the Rotaract Club of Accra-Labone.
The cyclists rode from Aviation Social Centre through to the Labone Senior High School where it was climaxed with the presentation.

A recent rainstorm recorded in parts of the Eastern Region has ripped off over a hundred houses, schools, and markets.
Dozens of residents have been also displaced.
The violent rainstorms were recorded on March 4th, 5th, and 6th.
In Fanteakwa South District for instance Some teachers at Nsutem Senior High School have been displaced after the teacher’s bungalow was ripped.
Items such as household properties, books, and other documents belonging to the affected teachers were soaked in rainwater.
The rainstorm also ripped off the portion of the main Assembly Hall of the School.
In Yilo Krobo, some 40 houses and the main market of the Klo Agogo community were ripped off.
