Samsung announces Galaxy A52, Galaxy A52 5G and Galaxy A72
The new Galaxy A series started off with the entry level – the likes of the A32 and even A02 are already official, now it’s time to move up to the mid-range. Samsung unveiled the Galaxy A52 and A72 today, both focusing on fun but are also capable all-rounders.
The A52 comes in two flavors – 4G and 5G – while the A72 arrived only as a 4G phone. Let’s have a closer look at the new models.

The Samsung Galaxy A52 is the smaller of the two phones. It has a flat 6.5” display and weighs in at 189grams with a battery that should last 2 days between charges.
Samsung announced the Galaxy A52 and A72 at its Galaxy Awesome Unpacked event.
Both devices sport similar designs, bigger batteries, and 90Hz refresh rates.
The Galaxy A52 5G boasts a 120Hz display, the first in an A-series smartphone.
Samsung s A-series is the company s most popular lineup, so it s no surprise that the company is dedicating an entire launch event to the arrival of its latest devices. Today at Galaxy Awesome Unpacked, Samsung took the wraps off its latest A-series smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy A52 and A72, which manage to bring incredible value to the mid-range market with impressive flagship-level features.
The new phones feature four back cameras, big screens and items dropped from Samsung s high-end Galaxy S series like headphone jacks and expandable memory.
Samsung is hosting an Unpacked event today, March 17. This is a bit unusual since the company only hosts two Unpacked events per year – one for the Galaxy S series in the first half of the year and the other for the Galaxy Note series in the second half of the year. This time around, we are just three months into the year, and Samsung is already hosting its second Unpacked event.
The Samsung Galaxy Awesome Unpacked event will commence at 10 AM ET today, March 11. It will be livestreamed through the Samsung Newsroom site and Samsung’s official YouTube channel. You can also watch the Galaxy Awesome Unpacked event below –

An excellent mid-range phone, packed with a great display, plenty of power, and waterproofing to help it stand out from the crowd. Running Samsung s latest software, it s an affordable way to get the latest Samsung experience with little major compromise.Read full verdict For

Spurge of camera lenses a little oversold - the macro and depth sensors of little use
(Pocket-lint) - Samsung s A series is one of the company s most popular. It s more affordable than the top-end Galaxy S but delivers many of the same experiences, meaning that in terms of volume, Samsung sells a lot more Galaxy A than it does the flagship.
