Whats unusual about this case is that the man who witnessed the robbery is now in trouble for trying to catch the sub sect himself the suspect himself. A man entered a subway on eastern east iliff your chambers. He hit an employee and demanded money. As the suspect took off a witness, 25yearold avery nelson started to chase the suspect. Police say he pulled out a gun and fired two warning shots in the air, and then fired a few more times at the suspects car. When you fire rounds into the year you have no clue where those rounds may end up unfortunately they didnt strike anyone. Same with shooting into the vehicle. Died from those injuries. Police were trying to track a stolen vehicle yesterday afternoon when saw another suspicious car near 26th and zuni. When officers tried talking to the officer, they say he got out of the car with a gun and shots were fired. Police havent said who the suspect is or if he fired. It happened a few blocks from another shooting we told you about yesterday. Two people got into a fight which escalateed into a shooting at 28th and zuni. The victim wasnt hit, but the car window was smashed out and police are still looking for the gunmen. Man accused of killing a Colorado State patrol cadet pleads not guilty today. Hes charged with first degree murder. Hes facing an attempted murder charge for injuring another trooper as well. Police say he was being pulled over in may when he sped off hittinggtoo men.
