Kia India eyes 10 pc sales growth this calendar year

Kia India aims to grow sales by 8-10% in 2023, supported by an increase in chip supplies and the launch of an updated Seltos model. The firm sold a total of 340,000 units across domestic and export markets in 2022. National Head of Sales and Marketing Hardeep S Brar said Kia had surpassed overall passenger industry growth in H1 2023 and hoped to do the same in H2. Brar also revealed Kia is aiming to produce 360,000 to 370,000 vehicles this year, with exports to new markets including the Middle East, South East Asia and Latin America being explored.
