Queensland retirees who can not get a refund for a cancelled Japanese holiday have been urged to spend their credit on whitegoods with inflated prices from the travel companyâs sister retailer.
The Sunshine Coast couple saved almost $15,000 so they could have âone last hurrahâ after spending almost 40 years travelling the world.
Greg and Cheryl Doyle booked a 20-day trip to Japan in September 2019 but it was called off in March last year.

But Melbourne-based Inspiring Vacations said its refunds policy, offering money back only in certain circumstances and listing a pandemic as not constituting a refund, was in place before COVID-19.
