The federal government's closed border policy is a "killer blow" for tourism and accommodation-related industries, says Australian Industry Group's Innes Willox.
"For other businesses that are tourism-related or accommodation-related, this is going to be a killer blow basically," he told Sky News.
"It's very important that we do work to keep our borders open to keep people moving to keep people moving around the country."
Australian Industry Group's Innes Willox says the rest of the world is shocked Australia is continuing with its plan not to open borders until mid-2022, and "while we may win the health battle, we'll lose the economic war".
"We're missing out on big economic benefits. The longer it goes, the more we'll be cut-off and forgotten about when it comes to global investment and trade," he said.
