Three Killed in Apparent Domestic Situation, Suspect at Large, Say Austin Police

Officials in Austin, Texas, report three people died in an active shooter situation on the city’s northwest side on Sunday afternoon. The suspect is at large and police are engaged in a manhunt.
Austin-Travis County EMS officials tweeted that three people died in a shooting incident in the city’s Arboretum area. The EMS dispatchers sent 15 assets to the scene.

Medics are responding to another major crash involving multiple cars, near the site of a 26-vehicle pileup earlier in the day, Austin-Travis EMS officials said Thursday evening.
EMS officials said 14 people were involved in the crash. Three were taken to the hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening, they said.
Emergency officials around 6:09 p.m. tweeted that at least six cars crashed near the 13700 block of Texas 45. Medics got a call about the crash around 5:42 p.m. Thursday.
Earlier in the evening, EMS officials said five cars had to be towed out of the area.
Officials said they are recommending that the area be shut down for the evening.
Pedestrian struck, killed by vehicle in South Austin, medics say
A pedestrian was killed Sunday evening after being struck by a vehicle in South Austin, Austin-Travis County EMS medics said.
Medics responded to the 1800-1900 block of the westbound service road of Ben White Boulevard after receiving a report that a pedestrian had been hit, officials said in a 6:43 p.m. tweet.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, medics said.
Drivers should expect delays and road closures in the area.
