AUSTIN, Texas KVUE wants to help “Keep Austin Local” by highlighting local businesses, events and people that make Austin special.
On Wednesday, KVUE stopped by Sky Candy, a circus training center that’s been around since 2010. It’s Austin’s first multidisciplinary aerial and circus arts studio.
Sky Candy is available for students of all ages, body types and fitness levels. They have a long list of classes including trapeze, lyra, pole, rope, hammock, circus fitness, bungee and more. See a list of their classes here. They also offer year-round classes, summer intensives, private lessons and birthday parties.

AUSTIN, Texas KVUE wants to help “Keep Austin Local” by highlighting local businesses, events and people that make Austin special.
On Wednesday, KVUE stopped by Opal Divine’s, a South Austin restaurant and bar that’s been around for 21 years.
Opal Divine’s was started by owner Michael Parker and his wife, Susan. The restaurant is named after Susan’s grandmother, Opal Divine.
The restaurant was set to have a strong 2020 after Interstate 35 construction had been completed. February 2020 was their biggest February ever, and as they were preparing for St. Patrick’s Day, their biggest day of the year, everything shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

AUSTIN, Texas Central Texans have seen many businesses shutting down because of the COVID-19 pandemic. KVUE wants to help Keep Austin Local by highlighting small businesses that might need a little help.
On Wednesday, KVUE stopped by The Perfect Bite, a food trailer in South Austin at the Thicket Food Park.
The Perfect Bite had only been in business for two years when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, causing them to close their doors for a few months. They also went down to only one employee – the owner, Jason Goad. They had to change their menu due to a shortage of certain goods, the rising costs of other goods, and their catering program was shut down.
