Tallahassee, Fla. – For the fourth time this season and third straight week, a Florida State pairing has earned CCSA Pair of the Week Honors. Morgan Chacon and Jordan Polo were named CCSA Pair of the Week following a 3-1 weekend against four top-20 ranked teams.
Chacon and Polo became the 19th pair at Florida State to earn Conference Pair of the Week. The pair are 11-4 on the season on courts three and four.
Chacon and Polo had the most successful weekend among the Seminoles at Cal Poly’s Center of Effort Challenge. All their matches were played in two sets on court four with wins against No. 3 UCLA, No. 13 Cal Poly, and No. 6 LMU and a loss to No. 1 USC.
On day one of the Center of Effort Challenge, Chacon and Polo earned the first match point for the Seminoles against UCLA. The pair won both sets in extra points, with the first set going to 29-27 and the second 25-23.
