Forrest, if you look up and down 2nd avenue here youre probably not going to see the normal monday morning traffic. Students are home from school for the holiday break, many people are taking vacation this week and that all means a number of people dont even need to try to drive in this. Less traffic means snow plows dont have as much competition out clearing the roads. The iowa state patrol and local authorities are also working a number of accidents from the morning commute. Some services, such as the Crisis Center food bank in iowa city, closed due to the poor conditions. Professor . Thank you, linda. I have impressed with peoples vitality. My talk will have nothing to do with anything youve heard all weekend. I am going to talk about the special education which has its own statute. Most of you know almost nothing about it. Without predicate i will say a couple walks that you should read i can tell you everything but i will do my best. What i want to talk about today is what i call dead mothers which is blaming the mother when things arent going right in the educational system. In some ways this talk is the Second Chapter in the talk we heard yesterday about pregnancy. Not only do we devalue women when they are pregnant, we devalue them after they give birth. A lot of people say the right is prolife until birth. This is what happens after these children are born. To give you three seconds on this law, the way it works is that every child with a disability is entitled to a free and appropriate public education. You might say all kids should get that they
