Robert E. Parker Robert E. Parker, 95, of Hillsboro, passed away Monday, April 5, 2021 at his home.
He was born Dec. 30, 1925 in Chicago, Ill., the son of the late Ray and Frieda (Voltz) Parker.
Mr. Parker was a proud World War II veteran of the United States Navy. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hillsboro for many years, where he served as a deacon and an elder. He was past president of the Hillsboro Lions Club, having been a member for 55 years and received the Lions Club Melvin Jones Award. He also served as the Lions Club Eye Chairman and was the manager of their candy store for many years.
