The Newton Teachers Association said Friday morning that the Newton School Committee has “lost all integrity” and “no interest in healing rifts” after failed overnight bargaining talks.
The committee has not yet voted on the last day of school and is considering several additional options to offset the days that have been missed as a result of the strike.
Students in Newton, one of the largest cities in Massachusetts, missed a 10th day of class Thursday as a teacher strike that began on Jan. 19 continued to drag out.
