For the frst time since a jury convicted mcdonnell on 11 federal corruption counts, the High Court May consider hearing his corruption appeal. Rico bush has more on whats happening today. Rico, walk us through whats next for the former governor . First Conference Day for the high court. Justices are scheduled to sit down and review what cases to hear or deny. If they agree to put the former governors Corruption Case on the docket, oral arguments could start before june. If the court denies mcdonnells petition, he will be forced to go to prison to serve out mcdonnell guilty of corruption. Jurors found the former governor and his wife maureen, traded political favors for gifts and loans from a wealthy businessman for special treatment.
