Two Atlantic City casinos will be getting a $170 million makeover of their hotel rooms this summer as part of a $400 million investment their parent company is making in the city over the next three years.
Caesars Entertainment said it will begin the project by redoing hotel rooms at Harrah’s and Caesars.
The company pledged a minimum $400 million investment in Atlantic City during hearings last year before state gambling regulators on the merger of Caesars Entertainment and Eldorado Gaming, which was approved. The new company retained the Caesars name.

On a cold and crisp Wednesday morning in Atlantic City, the tower of the former Trump Plaza casino and hotel imploded into chunks of rubble.
The 34-story tower and symbolic monument to former President Donald Trump s influence in the city folded like a deck of cards shortly after 9 a.m.

City officials said while the implosion was successful, a small safety issued delayed things momentarily. There was a drone being flown above Caesars and, as we know, it was a temporary no-fly zone, said Mayor Marty Small at a press conference that immediately followed the implosion.
