Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) managing director Mundkur Shyamprasad Kamath stated that no effluents have been discharged into the stormwater drains surrounding the refinery. The Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSBCB) visited the refinery and found no evidence of pollution.
