In a Facebook post shared by the Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD), it was announced that Dr. Lawrence A. Limjuco, the 2020 Balik Scientist Awardee, received the Award for Excellence in STI. In that social media post, the DOST-Balik Scientist Program extended its felicitations to Limjuco, a former research professor in Myongi University and research fellow at the National Research Foundation of South Korea.
