“This selection of portraits seeks to inspire learning and inquiry through the celebration of women, whose stories are often unsung or missing from the written record,” the opening blurb to the exhibition. A vigil was held Monday in White Plains, New York, for DMX, as he fights for his life in the hospital. The artist s family, friends and fans gathered together outside the White Plains Hospital, and held prayers for his health.
ET spoke with Craig Brodhead, a member of DMX s management team and a friend of more than 30 years who was one of the estimated 500 people who gathered together for the vigil. He is in critical condition in the ICU unit. and we re all just praying for him, Brodhead said of the rapper whose real name is Earl Simmons. I am extremely hopeful that he is going to pull through this.

A Community Building will provide recreational and social activities for the White Shield community when completed this fall.
Three schools on the Fort Berthold Reservation have been getting upgrades. White Shield, Mandaree and Twin Buttes have projects either being completed or initiated in 2021.
White Shield students began taking classes in their new school about 2-¢ years ago, but there’s still work being done.
The latest to be constructed is a sports complex that will replace an old track and field with a modern track and football field, while adding a baseball field, splashpad and hockey rink. White Shield, which hasn’t had a football team since the 1990s, will be organizing a team next fall, said Superintendent Wayne Fox.
