Two supermassive black holes with a combined mass of 200 million Suns could collide in deep space. One of the most eagerly anticipated events in contemporary astronomy may be present in the strange behavior of a galaxy about a billion light-years away.
This new black hole is bigger than Sagittarius A, and can devour 1 Earth per second. A rapidly expanding black hole got spotted by researchers from the Australia National University (ANU), and it still grows in the present, as the study authors saw it using the SkyMapper Telescope in the university.
Researchers are studying the potential of habitable planets forming within multi-star systems. Research is studying a binary star system 1,000 light-years away to look for habitable planets and, as have discovered, habitable planets could in fact exist.
