The Association of Yukon Communities held it's annual general meeting in Watson Lake over the weekend. Over 120 people were in attendance from all levels of First Nation, territorial, and municipal governments. All of the eight resolutions tabled were passed. Resolutions were focused on ensuring Yukon communities and residents have equal rights, and better access to government funding and services.

During a committee of the whole meeting, the committee recommended that Dawson council go with a schematic design that would allow public use of the facilities second level. The design comes with an additional cost of $5.4 million.
