As of March 1, the Feddersen family from Rushville has purchased the feed business from Sandage. A new name is coming soon, once all the legal hoops have been jumped through. The Feddersen’s ranch near Rushville along with being partners in an AI Business with Judd Hoos. So cattle is not only a business to them, it’s a way of life. “I had been buying feed from and working with Diane for a while. When she asked if I would want to take over, it made a lot of sense seeing how they all worked together,” said Court.

Incumbents in, challengers anticipated for April Glenwood City Council elections

The three incumbents are declared, and challengers have until Jan. 25 to gather nominating signatures to run for Glenwood Springs City Council April 6. Formally announcing their intentions over the weekend for reelection to the Ward 2 and Ward 5 seats, respectively, were Ingrid Wussow and Jonathan Godes. Their announcements come on the heels of At-Large Councilwoman Shelley Kaup’s Thursday announcement that she, too, will be seeking a second consecutive four-year term on council. As of Friday, petitions had been picked up for all three seats, Acting City Clerk Steve Boyd said. Candidates have until Jan. 25 to gather the required number of signatures and submit their nominations. Signatures can come from registered city voters, either citywide for the At-Large seat, or from within one of the wards for those seats.

Everett Rental Relief Program off to Slow Start – Everett Independent

The vast majority of the $1.5 million set aside to help renters and homeowners with emergency assistance to pay rent and mortgages has yet to be tapped into, according to an update at the City Council on Monday night. The new City-sponsored Rental and Homeowner Assistance Program – like the state RAFT program – has gotten a slow start this month due to issues with documentation and troubles contacting applicants. Needless to say, some have been helped and councilors did praise the organization of the program and the simplified application. Mayoral Chief of Staff Erin Devaney told the Council they partnered with the ABCD organization to review applications and distribute money. Some $1.5 million in CARES Act funding delivered to the City last fall had been set aside for the new program – announced in December. Of that, $200,000 was paid to ABCD for administration costs and the organization was charged with distributing $1.3 million to Everett residents that qualified.
