Santa Rosa Police Looking To Implement CAHOOTS Program

February 1, 2021 Santa Rosa Police are taking steps to answer nonviolent mental health calls. The Press Democrat reports that the SRPD has signed a contract with the Oregon-based non-profit White Bird Clinic to help implement a program that would send mental health workers rather than police to help in nonviolent calls. Santa Rosa Police officials hope to have a pilot program as early as July or August. Quick Links
