STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. Legislators in the New York Assembly and Senate announced an agreement Tuesday that will repeal executive powers they granted the governor last year in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The joint announcement from Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie (D-the Bronx) and Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins (D-Westchester) comes as the governor continues to deal with a number of scandals related to his time in office.
