STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Legislators in the New York Assembly and Senate announced an agreement Tuesday that will repeal executive powers they granted the governor last year in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The joint announcement from Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie (D-the Bronx) and Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins (D-Westchester) comes as the governor continues to deal with a number of scandals related to his time in office.
