Assembly Election Results 2022: After weeks of hectic campaigning, the stage is now set for counting of votes for the Assembly elections held in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh where the ruling BJP is eyeing a new record and hoping to buck the anti-incumbency trend whereas Congress and AAP are keeping their fingers crossed at the moment. The counting process will commence at 8 am with postal ballots to be taken up first.

The results of the Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Manipur, Goa and Punjab were declared after counting of the votes on Thursday. While the BJP secured a majority in Uttar Pradesh, Manipur and Uttarakhand, the party said it will also be forming the government in Goa where it won 20 out of 40 seats and apparently has the support of three other winning candidates. In Punjab, the Aam Aadmi Party swept the polls and CM-elect Bhagwant Mann will take oath on March 16. Meanwhile, the Congress Working Committee held a five-hour meeting on Sunday to discuss the party’s performance in the elections.
