Cachar voter awareness campaign sets record by creating longest street Rangoli
The record was attempted by the district administration on March 14 at Barkhola constituency area of Cachar District of Assam.

SILCHAR: In a bid to encourage voters to exercise their franchise in the upcoming assembly elections, the Cachar district administration has been making efforts to create awareness among the masses. However, one such effort has found a place in the 2022 edition of the India Book of Records.
The recognition was granted for creating the longest rangoli on voters awareness. The record was attempted by the district administration on March 14 at Barkhola constituency area of Cachar District of Assam. The process to make the 8 kilometre-long rangoli on the street was completed within 24 hours.

KOHIMA: Reiterating its demand for a peaceful negotiation, the National Socialist Council of Nagalim NSCM-IM has asked the Government of India to be more positive and sincere in finding a solution to the Indo-Naga political issue.
In a statement issued by the NSCN-IM on Sunday, it has appealed to the Central Government to resolve the decades-old issue in line with the 2015 Framework Agreement that was signed between the group s general secretary Thuingalen Muivah and central government s interlocutor R N Ravi, who is currently Nagaland Governor, in presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
