GUWAHATI: PM Narendra Modi on Monday on his third visit in one month to poll-bound Assam at Dhemaji, dedicated three energy infrastructure in the state worth over Rs 3,000 crore to the nation.
Modi also inaugurated the state’s seventh engineering college at Dhemaji and laid the foundation for the construction of eight engineering college of the state at Sualkuchi near Guwahati remotely from Dhemaji.
The energy infrastructure projects included the Rs 2,600-crore INDMAX fluid catalytic cracking unit at IOC’s Bongaigaon refinery, which will boost high-yield of petroleum products from an array of petroleum fractions, the Rs 490-crore Secondary Tank Farm with Dehydration Facility and Effluent Treatment Plant of Oil India Limited at Madhuban in Dibrugarh district and the Rs 132-crore gas compressor station at Makum.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will again visit Assam on February 22 to push up the BJP s poll campaign momentum in the poll-bound state. Ahead of the assembly polls in the state, it will be PM Modi s third visit to Assam within a month.
PM Modi will unveil several infrastructure projects, lay the foundation stone of an engineering college and address a public rally at Silapathar in Dhemaji district.
GUWAHATI: On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on his third visit in one month to poll-bound Assam when he arrives at Dhemaji. His visit has been labelled as one that gives a push for developing a ‘modern Assam’ when he dedicates three projects of petroleum ministry worth over Rs 3,000 crore to the nation.
Modi will also open the first course of Dhemaji Engineering College and lay the foundation for construction of eight engineering colleges at Sualkuchi near Guwahati via video conference.
“This shows Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to develop a modern Assam,” chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal said.

The Kamakhya Gate bridge was inaugurated at 9 am, the footbridges at Ganeshguri near Kar Bhawan by 9.30 am and the one at Khanapara by 10 am.

GUWAHATI: Assam State Finance and Health Minister Himanata Biswa Sarma on Sunday inaugurated the three newly constructed foot over-bridges in Kamakhya, Dispur, Khanapara, areas of Guwahati.
The Kamakhya Gate foot-over bridge was inaugurated at 9 in the morning. Following the first inauguration, the footbridges at Ganeshguri near Kar Bhawan was inaugurated by 9.30 am and the one at Khanapara was inaugurated by 10 am.
The length of the bridge is 31.40 meters. The footbridge in Khanapara will also serve as an entry landmark to the city and has a sign saying Welcome to Guwahati over it. It was constructed using bamboo.
