The Supreme Court on Friday granted additional time to the expert committee to submit its final report with regard to the Pegasus surveillance scandal.
The hearing before the Supreme Court in the case relating to the Pegasus surveillance scandal was postponed to February 25, Friday after Solicitor General (SG) Tushar Mehta sought accommodation.
'There was only a vague and omnibus denial of allegations by the Union,' the court said, coming down heavily on the Union government's refusal to file a detailed affidavit, citing 'national security' concerns.
