A Wareham woman has been arrested after allegedly robbing a convenience store in Raynham while brandishing a hypodermic needle on Dec. 14.
Ashley Demers, 34, of Wareham, allegedly entered the Seasons Corner Market in Raynham just after 6 p.m. and threatened the clerk with a hypodermic needle she claimed was infected with “aids.” She was given cash and her license plate was reported to Raynham Police.
The State Police were also looking for Demers’ vehicle in connection with a similar robbery in New Bedford.
State Police stopped Demers in Marion after a brief chase and arrested her after an on-scene investigation.
